Refurbishment of existing store in 1998-1999:

• Conversion of L5 office area to retail with the inclusion of new escalators inserted through the Harrington St facade on Level 5 and dropped into place over existing L4 escalators
• Demolition and re-fit of all building services including air-conditioning, electrical and fire which incorporated a new smoke exhaust system
• Total re-fit of all internal finishes and new brand boutique tenancies to an area in excess of 6000 square meters.
• The entire project was carried out in stages to accommodate continued trading by DFS and occupation by office tenancies
